Renault Duster offcially launched in India: Prices Start at ₹10.49 Lakh, Goes Up to ₹18.49 Lakh

Renault has finally brought back the Duster in India, and this time it’s a lot more modern than before. Prices start at ₹10.49 lakh and go up to ₹18.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with multiple variants and engine options on offer.

The new Duster comes with two turbo petrol engines — a 1.0-litre unit and a more powerful 1.3-litre turbo (160 PS). Buyers can choose between a manual gearbox or a DCT automatic, depending on the variant.

What’s New This Time?

Unlike the older Duster, which was known for its rugged feel, this new one focuses a lot more on features and comfort.

Even the base Authentic variant gets things like LED headlamps, a digital driver display, rear AC vents and plenty of standard safety features.

Move up the range and you start getting bigger highlights like a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless connectivity, cruise control and a rear camera.

The higher Techno and Techno+ variants bring in features that buyers now expect in this segment  panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control and connected car tech.

At the top of the range, the Iconic variant gets everything from ventilated seats and a 10.25-inch digital cluster to a 360-degree camera and ADAS features.

Where It Fits in the Market

The midsize SUV segment has changed a lot over the years. Buyers now expect not just space, but also tech, safety and convenience features.

With this new Duster, Renault is clearly trying to match what rivals like the Creta and Seltos are already offering, while still keeping the SUV identity intact.

The new Duster feels like a big step forward. It keeps the familiar SUV appeal but adds modern features, more tech and better comfort.

If Renault gets the driving experience and pricing right, the Duster could once again become a strong option in this highly competitive segment.
