Renault Unveils ‘futuREady’ Plan: 36 New Models and a Major EV Push by 2030
Renault futuREady Strategy Targets 36 New Models, 750 km EV Range Platform and 800V Fast Charging
The plan builds on Renault’s earlier transformation strategy and focuses on strengthening the company’s product lineup while accelerating electrification. Alongside Europe, Renault also plans to expand its presence in key growth markets such as India, South America and South Korea.
A key part of the strategy is the development of the RGEV Medium 2.0 platform, which will underpin Renault’s next generation of electric vehicles in the C and D segments. The platform will feature 800-volt architecture designed to support ultra-fast charging, with Renault targeting charging times of around 10 minutes by 2030 depending on infrastructure availability
Renault says the new platform could deliver up to 750 km of range for fully electric models, while versions equipped with a range extender could reach up to 1,400 km. It will also support multiple body styles including SUVs, sedans and MPVs.
The upcoming models will also adopt a software-defined vehicle architecture, allowing features and systems to be updated remotely through over-the-air updates. Renault is developing its operating system in collaboration with Google, with a focus on connected services and digital functionality.
Electrification remains central to the company’s long-term roadmap. Renault aims to achieve 100 percent electrified sales in Europe by 2030, while continuing to expand hybrid and electric offerings in global markets. The company is also targeting carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040.
With the futuREady plan, Renault is laying the groundwork for its next generation of vehicles, focusing on electrification, software and improved efficiency as the automotive industry continues to transition toward cleaner mobility.
