Kia Seltos Crosses 6 Lakh Sales in India as Updated Model Prepares for Next Phase

Kia India has announced that the Kia Seltos has crossed six lakh cumulative sales in India since its launch in 2019, cementing its position as one of the stronger performers in the mid-size SUV segment.

 

The milestone highlights the Seltos’ sustained demand across multiple variants and powertrain options. According to Kia, 29 per cent of total sales have come from top-spec variants, indicating a growing preference among buyers for premium features and advanced safety systems in this price band.

 

When first introduced, the Seltos differentiated itself through a broad engine line-up, automatic transmission options across fuel types, and a feature-heavy cabin that included large infotainment screens and connected car technology. Over time, the SUV has added advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and an expanded safety package, aligning with shifting customer expectations.

 

Kia has also revealed details of the updated Seltos, which is set to continue as a key model in the brand’s India strategy. The new version measures 4,460 mm in length, with a 1,830 mm width and a 2,690 mm wheelbase, aimed at offering improved cabin space and road presence. It retains multiple powertrain options while introducing enhancements in safety and digital interfaces.

 

The Seltos has played a central role in Kia’s growth in India, serving as one of the company’s highest-volume models. With the refreshed version now positioned to drive further demand, the SUV remains central to Kia’s presence in the competitive mid-SUV segment.
