Eli Tomac Strikes Back in Seattle as Title Fight Tightens
Seattle delivered exactly what it usually does — a brutal, technical Supercross track that breaks rhythm and punishes hesitation. And on a night where traction was scarce and timing everything, Eli Tomac found his edge again.
At Round 6 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship inside Lumen Field, Tomac put in a measured, controlled ride when it mattered most. After qualifying second fastest behind teammate Jorge Prado and finishing third in his heat race, the two-time 450SX champion saved his best performance for the Main Event.
Launching cleanly off the gate, Tomac slotted into second and stalked the leader through the opening laps as the track deteriorated. Midway through the race, he made his move — a decisive pass that stuck. From there, he checked out, winning by over nine seconds in what became a statement ride.
The victory marks Tomac’s third win of the 2026 season and the 56th 450SX win of his career, moving him to within a single point of the championship lead heading into Arlington.
Teammate Aaron Plessinger showed flashes of pace, finishing seventh after running inside the top five early on. Jorge Prado, meanwhile, set the fastest qualifying time but withdrew after a late-session incident.
With six rounds down and momentum swinging again, the 450SX title fight is tightening — and Tomac looks firmly back in the hunt.
