New JSW MG Majestor Unveiled; Launch in April

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Majestor, positioning it as India’s first D+ segment SUV. Pre-bookings have opened at ₹41,000, with showroom displays and test drives scheduled to commence in April 2026, followed by deliveries beginning in May 2026.

Built on a 2950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor measures 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1876 mm in height. It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will be offered in both 2WD and advanced 4WD configuration.

The advanced 4WD system features 10 off-road modes and incorporates front, rear and centre differential locks. Additional off-road hardware includes Crawl Control Mode, 219 mm ground clearance (4×2) and an 810 mm water-wading capability.

Inside, the Majestor is available in six- and seven-seat configurations. It features ventilated and multi-mode massage front seats, a 31.24 cm fully digital instrument cluster, and a 31.24 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also includes dual wireless chargers, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, 3-zone automatic climate control and a 220V power outlet.

On the safety front, the Majestor is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), Hill Descent Control (HDC), a 360-degree HD camera and a high tensile ladder frame chassis.

The MG Majestor will be offered in Sharp and Savvy variants in Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black and Metal Ash. With its dimensions, ladder-frame construction and diesel powertrain, the Majestor is set to compete directly with the Toyota Fortuner in the full-size SUV segment.
