Mahindra XEV 9S Revealed: The Big New 7-Seater Electric SUV
Mahindra has revealed the name of its upcoming all-electric SUV — the Mahindra XEV 9S — ahead of its global debut later this month. Set to premiere on 27th November 2025 at Mahindra’s ‘Scream Electric’ event in Bengaluru, the XEV 9S will be the company’s first born-electric, 7-seater SUV, built on its advanced INGLO skateboard platform.
Built for Space, Comfort, and Performance
Unlike re-engineered ICE conversions, the XEV 9S has been designed as a ground-up electric SUV. The flat-floor layout of the INGLO platform frees up significant interior space, allowing for flexible configurations like sliding second-row seats and ensuring every passenger gets first-class comfort.
The skateboard platform also gives the SUV a low centre of gravity, improving stability and ride quality — a key benefit for larger families looking for a smooth, planted electric driving experience.
A Celebration of Electric Growth
The unveiling of the XEV 9S coincides with the first anniversary of Mahindra’s electric Origin SUV lineup. The brand says the new SUV is designed for those who “live large, travel together, and refuse to compromise on performance or presence.”

The world premiere of the Mahindra XEV 9S will be streamed live on Mahindra Electric’s official YouTube channel as part of the ‘Scream Electric’ celebration. With the XEV 9S, Mahindra continues its aggressive push toward electrification, combining practicality with pure electric power.
