KTM Duke 160 – Gen Z’s Duke

KTM’s latest entry-level machine, the Duke 160, is aimed squarely at younger riders who want excitement without breaking the bank.

Design

Edgy, sharp, and unmistakably a Duke, it carries the same aggressive styling as its larger siblings. Lighter than the 200 Duke yet still muscular, it stands tall against rivals like Yamaha MT-15 and Apache RTR 160.

Performance

The 164cc liquid-cooled engine produces 19PS—making it the most powerful 160cc bike in India. With 0–60 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a slipper clutch for smooth downshifts, it blends city usability with genuine performance.

Ride & Handling

Built on a lightweight trellis frame, the Duke 160 is agile and confidence-inspiring. WP Apex suspension balances comfort with sharpness, while dual-channel ABS with a large 320mm disc keeps braking secure.

Features

From LED headlights to an LCD console (with optional Bluetooth), KTM has packed in plenty of tech. However, a TFT display would have elevated it further.

Verdict

At ₹1.85 lakh, the Duke 160 is priced above most 160cc bikes but offers unmatched performance and features. It’s unapologetically KTM—accessible, exciting, and perfect for Gen Z riders stepping into the Duke family.
