The Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition has arrived as the world’s first Formula E–themed special-edition electric SUV, created to celebrate India’s rising motorsport culture. With Mahindra’s legacy in global racing—including victories in Formula E—this edition brings track-born styling, performance cues and technology to Indian roads. It’s not just a variant; it’s a statement of electric passion and racing identity.
A Bold New Exterior with Pure Motorsport DNA
Mahindra has redesigned the BE6 with a more aggressive, race-inspired visual identity. The SUV gets an all-new signature front bumper with circular projector headlamps and gloss-black bezels. Racetrack-inspired R20 alloy wheels (exclusive to the FE3), orange brake callipers, sporty spoilers and liquid-metal cladding enhance the road presence. Formula E branding and decals appear across the bonnet, fixed glass roof, quarter panels and windscreen. Four striking colours—Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red and Stealth Black—complete the new motorsport look.
A Cockpit That Feels Like a Race Car
Inside, the Formula E Edition transforms the BE6 cabin into a race-themed cockpit. Firestorm Orange accents dominate the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and controls. A special FIA × Formula E edition plaque, seatbelt branding and translucent door inserts add exclusivity.
A race-car-style start/stop button flap, custom Formula E startup animation and motorsport-inspired exterior sound profile deepen the driving experience. The result is a cockpit that feels futuristic, performance-focused and emotionally charged.
New looks but same Performance
The BE6 Formula E Edition builds on an already strong EV platform by adding sharper electric performance characteristics. It delivers 282 bhp (210 kW), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 202 km/h. The 79 kWh battery offers a real-world range of 500 km, while fast charging from 20–80% in just 20 minutes ensures quick turnarounds.
Multiple drive modes, Boost Mode, single-pedal drive and refined suspension dynamics—including intelligent adaptive suspension on the FE3—help the SUV feel more responsive and race-ready.
Tech Upgrades for the Connected Generation
This edition enhances cabin tech with dual 12.3-inch integrated displays powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chipset. A 16-speaker Harman/Kardon system with Dolby Atmos elevates the in-car audio experience. Superfast 5G, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging and the unique BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) experience turn the SUV into a digital hub. Pre-installed OTT, news and social media apps, along with connected features through the Me4U app, make the BE6 one of India’s most tech-rich electric SUVs.
Two Variants with Distinct Personalities
The Formula E Edition is available in two versions: BE6 FE2 and BE6 FE3. The FE2 includes the complete Formula E design package, race-inspired interiors and all major tech and safety features. The FE3 adds intelligent adaptive suspension, sporty R20 wheels and Night Trail carpet lamps, making it the enthusiast’s choice for a more dynamic and premium experience.
Launch Timeline, Pricing and Exclusive Ownership Benefits
The BE6 Formula E FE2 is priced at ₹23.69 lakh, while the FE3 costs ₹24.49 lakh. Bookings open on 14 January 2026, and deliveries begin on 14 February 2026. The first 999 customers receive exclusive perks including a track-day experience with racer Kush Maini, a collector’s box with Mahindra Racing memorabilia, a personalised number decal (00–99) and even their name on Mahindra’s Formula E race car at the London E-Prix. Three lucky buyers will win an all-expenses London E-Prix paddock access experience in August 2026.
A Mini BE6 Formula E Experience for Kids
Mahindra has also revealed the BE6 Formula E Ride-On—a toddler-sized version of the special edition. Priced at ₹18,000 and launching in April 2026, it mirrors the SUV’s aero styling and colours, giving young fans a playful introduction to the world of electric performance.
