Volkswagen has opened pre-bookings for the Tayron R-Line in India, marking the brand’s entry into the premium seven-seat SUV segment. Customers can reserve the upcoming SUV with a booking amount of Rs 51,000, ahead of its scheduled launch in February 2026.
The Tayron R-Line will be locally assembled in India, a move aimed at improving availability and pricing competitiveness in a segment that has seen growing demand for larger, feature-rich SUVs. Positioned as Volkswagen’s flagship SUV for the Indian market, the Tayron R-Line will sit above the brand’s existing line-up, which includes the Taigun, Virtus and Tiguan R-Line.
Volkswagen has confirmed that the Tayron R-Line will be offered as a fully loaded variant, featuring a long list of equipment and safety technology. Key highlights include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 14 driver-assistance functions, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and a premium audio setup. The SUV will also offer multiple comfort and convenience features aimed at family and long-distance use.
