Mumbai, September 17, 2025 — Tata Motors’ premium hatchback, the Altroz, has achieved a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating across all its fuel types — petrol, diesel, and CNG — making it the first CNG-powered car in India to receive the highest rating.

The Altroz scored 29.65/32 in adult protection and 44.9/49 in child safety, reaffirming its benchmark status. Originally the first hatchback to achieve a 5-star Global NCAP rating back in 2020, the new Altroz continues its safety-first legacy.

Standard features now include six airbags, ESP, ISOFIX mounts, 360° camera with blind view monitor, TPMS, SOS assistance, auto headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers. Built on Tata’s ALFA architecture, the hatchback also boasts premium touches like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, voice-enabled sunroof, wireless charging, and iRA connected tech.

With petrol, diesel, and twin-cylinder iCNG options available, the Altroz is also the only hatchback in its segment to offer such a wide powertrain range【52†source】.
