Nissan Teases All-New ‘Tekton’ SUV for India

RevwheelsNews2 months ago

Nissan has previewed its upcoming C-segment SUV, officially named the Nissan Tekton, ahead of its launch in Q2 2026. The Tekton marks a major step in Nissan’s comeback strategy for India, aiming squarely at segment leaders like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.

Drawing heavy inspiration from the legendary Nissan Patrol, the Tekton has been designed by the same global team responsible for the full-size SUV icon. Its bold and upright stance, massive grille, and clean surface treatment are crafted to make it appear larger and more imposing than its segment rivals.

Distinctive details include the double C-shaped signature element on the sides — a design tribute to mountain peaks — and the power bulge on the hood, emphasizing its muscular presence. The LED lighting setup, squared wheel arches, and strong shoulder lines reinforce its rugged yet refined identity.

While Nissan has kept the interior under wraps, a brief glimpse hints at a premium cabin inspired by the exterior’s horizontal theme, with a mix of sophistication and toughness.

With the Tekton, Nissan aims to bring fresh energy to the highly competitive C-SUV market, combining global design excellence with a focus on Indian preferences.
