Mahindra’s ‘Scream Electric’: India’s Loudest Cheer for Formula E
Mahindra has launched a new campaign called ‘Scream Electric’, aimed at rallying India’s growing motorsport community behind its Formula E team. The campaign isn’t about promoting a product or corporate agenda, it’s a statement of intent from one of India’s few names competing on a truly global motorsport stage.
From Underdog to Contender
Since joining Formula E in 2014, Mahindra Racing has evolved from an experimental newcomer to a competitive force. The team’s fourth-place finish in the 2024–25 season, ahead of McLaren and Maserati marks its strongest showing yet. It’s a sign that Mahindra’s persistence in the all-electric championship is paying off, and that Indian motorsport finally has a team capable of challenging established European giants.
But ‘Scream Electric’ isn’t focused on stats or standings. It’s built around emotion the idea of making electric racing exciting, loud, and unapologetically Indian. Formula E has often been seen as the quieter, cleaner cousin of Formula 1, but Mahindra wants to flip that perception by giving electric performance a sense of attitude and identity.
The campaign launch coincided with the reveal of Mahindra’s Gen 3.5 Formula E car, a sharper and more aggressive design that mirrors the team’s growing confidence. The livery’s bold colors and angular details stand out in a grid often dominated by corporate minimalism — a visual cue that Mahindra is ready to be noticed, not just participate.
The same design language is finding its way into Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs, bridging the world of motorsport and road cars. It’s a sign of how the company wants its racing DNA to influence the way India experiences electric mobility — fast, stylish, and emotionally charged.
When the 2025–26 Formula E season begins in Sao Paulo this December, Mahindra will carry more than just its racing ambitions. It will carry the hopes of Indian fans who want to see their country make noise — literally and figuratively — on the global motorsport stage.
Because this isn’t about whispering electric anymore.
It’s about screaming electric.
