Jemimah Rodrigues Joins Tvarra as Investor Partner in Equity-Led Association

Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues has joined Tvarra, a women-focused helmet brand, as an Investor Partner, marking a shift from conventional celebrity endorsements to long-term ownership.

Tvarra, founded by Alpana Parida, designs helmets specifically for women riders, addressing gaps in fit, weight distribution and comfort that have traditionally been overlooked in two-wheeler safety products. The brand confirmed that Rodrigues’ association is equity-led and will involve her in shaping its long-term direction.

Unlike scaled-down versions of men’s helmets, Tvarra products are developed from the ground up for women, factoring in differences in head size, hair management, accessories and everyday commuting needs. The helmets are ISI-certified for Indian roads and DOT-certified, meeting international safety standards.

Rodrigues’ involvement comes as Tvarra looks to expand its presence and product portfolio. The company currently operates in over 600 cities through online channels and plans to enter offline retail as part of its 2026 roadmap. It also confirmed plans to introduce helmets for younger riders aged 5 to 16 years, extending its focus beyond adult commuters.

Speaking on the partnership, Alpana Parida said safety must be designed intentionally rather than treated as an afterthought, adding that Rodrigues’ approach to discipline and long-term thinking aligns with the brand’s values.

Rodrigues said the partnership resonated with her personal belief in preparation and responsibility, noting that everyday mobility plays a key role in building confidence for women.

Commenting on the development, JSW Sports Chief Commercial Officer Karan Yadav said this was Rodrigues’ first investment and reflected a growing focus on athlete-led, values-driven ownership rather than short-term brand associations.

Founded to serve everyday scooter riders, Tvarra positions itself as a safety-first brand focused on practical urban use, with features such as lightweight certified shells, hair-safe interiors, earring-friendly padding and optical-grade visors.
