Hyundai Sets 2030 Roadmap With Expanded EV Lineup, New Technologies
New York/Seoul, September 18, 2025 — At its first-ever CEO Investor Day outside Korea, Hyundai Motor Company unveiled an ambitious strategy targeting 5.55 million vehicle sales by 2030, with over 3.3 million electrified units.
Highlights of the roadmap include: – Expansion to 18+ hybrid models and a complete EV range. – Launch of regional EVs such as the IONIQ 3 for Europe, India’s first locally designed EV, and new China-only models. – First Extended Range EVs (EREVs) by 2027, promising over 960km range. – Expansion into new categories like mid-size pickups and light commercial EVs. – Massive manufacturing upgrades, including a $2.7B investment in the U.S. and India’s Pune hub producing 250,000 units annually.
Hyundai also outlined next-gen battery plans with 30% lower costs and AI-powered cloud-based management systems from 2026. Its luxury brand Genesis will expand into hybrids, BEVs, and EREVs, with annual sales targeted at 350,000 units by 2030【51†source】.
