Celebrating 25K Subscribers: Our Road-Trip Story with the new Renault Triber

When RevWheels crossed 25,000 subscribers, we knew this milestone deserved more than a simple thank-you post. It needed a celebration — something memorable, something shared. And so, the idea was born: gather the team, leave the city behind, and drive to a quiet getaway where we could unwind, laugh, and reflect on our journey so far.

But with seven people, bags, camera gear, and enough enthusiasm to power a small town, we needed the right companion. That companion turned out to be a small but mighty hero — the Renault Triber

A Fresh New Look for the Road Ahead

As the Triber rolled out of the RevWheels garage, it was clear this updated model had levelled up. The redesigned Renault logo, a sharper grille, sculpted bumper, and LED lighting package give it a mini-SUV confidence despite its under-4-metre footprint.

Dual-tone flex wheels and fresh colours added flair — the kind that quietly tells you, “Don’t underestimate me.” On the highway, it looked right at home, and in the city, it turned more heads than we expected.

A Cabin That Feels a Class Above

The biggest surprise awaited inside further accentuated thanks to the floating 8-inch touchscreen and a colourful 7-inch TFT instrument cluster.

Renault has clearly worked on insulation, because the moment we shut the doors, the city noise dimmed, replaced by a cocoon-like calm. The cabin’s new light-toned theme felt airy, and the layout cleaner.

Wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, a cooled glovebox, and AC vents all the way to the third row kept everyone comfortable. Even the music system — not branded — impressed the entire team on the highway, setting the soundtrack for our celebration drive.

Seven People, One Car, Zero Complaints

Space was why we picked the Triber — and it delivered brilliantly. With its clever modular seating offering 100+ configurations, the team could slide, recline, fold, or completely remove rows depending on what we needed. Luggage for seven fit effortlessly, and getting in and out never felt cramped.

In five-seater mode, the Triber opens up a massive 625-litre boot, but even in full seven-seater configuration, we had enough room for all our gear. It’s a car that truly punches above its compact footprint.

Deserves more grunt

Under the hood sits a simple, honest 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 70 BHP and 96 Nm. Our wishlist for the 1-litre Turbo continues because the Triber would be perfect with it. But unfortunately that’s not happening.

With the manual gearbox, light clutch, and now even cruise control, which is weirdly only avaible in the manual, the Triber handled the highways and climbs with ease. Fully loaded, you do work the gears a bit, but the car stays composed, predictable, and easy to drive. There’s also an AMT and a CNG option for those with different priorities.

Ride Comfort That Surprised Us All

On uneven patches, broken tarmac, and winding roads, the Triber felt like it belonged. The suspension tuning is one of its strongest suits — stable on the highway, cushy over rough surfaces, and easy to manoeuvre in the city.

With 182 mm of ground clearance, our route through narrow rural roads and uneven resort lanes felt effortless. Inside, the team vibed to music, chatted, and even dozed off — a sign of a genuinely comfortable ride.

A Safe Place to Be — For All Seven of Us

For a car designed for families and groups, safety matters. The Triber comes with 21 standard safety features, including six airbags, ESP, traction control, hill-start assist, TPMS, ABS with EBD, and front parking sensors on higher trims.

It has also secured a strong 4-star Global NCAP rating for adult protection — reassurance that all of us were travelling with peace of mind. Renault’s Human First program is clearly reflected in this package.

The Destination — and a Moment to Remember

By late afternoon, we rolled into our resort — tired but smiling. The Triber pulled in dust-covered but proud, having carried seven people comfortably through city chaos, open highways, and quiet country lanes. We celebrated our 25K milestone the way we wanted: together. Photos, laughter, a small cake, and a moment to appreciate how far RevWheels has come.

And as we looked at the Triber parked against the backdrop of the setting sun, one thing felt clear, It didn’t just take us to our celebration — it became a part of it.

With prices starting at around ₹5.76 lakh and going up to ₹8.59 lakh for the fully-loaded Emotion variant, the Renault Triber stands out as one of the smartest, most value-driven 7-seaters in India today. Clever, capable, and surprisingly refined — it fits more than just people. It fits moments like these.
