Audi Revolut F1 Team Confirms Official Name and Launch Date

Audi has officially confirmed the name of its Formula One entry as the Audi Revolut F1 Team, along with announcing a global launch event scheduled for January 20, 2026, in Berlin. The reveal marks a key step in Audi’s preparations for its first full factory-backed entry into the Formula One World Championship under the new 2026 regulations.

The team name reflects Audi’s title partnership with global fintech company Revolut, first announced in July 2025.

Berlin Launch to Unveil Full Team Identity

The Berlin event will be the first time Audi presents the complete identity of its Formula One team to the public. The launch will include the unveiling of the team’s official race livery for the 2026 season, following the earlier reveal of the Audi R26 Concept in November.

Audi has confirmed that the launch will initially be an exclusive event on January 20, followed by a public fan experience on January 21, allowing broader access to the team’s branding and visual identity. With less than 50 days remaining before the start of the 2026 season, the event is expected to offer a clearer picture of how Audi’s design philosophy translates onto the Formula One grid.

Revolut Partnership Extends Beyond Branding

The partnership between Audi and Revolut goes beyond title sponsorship. Revolut will be integrated into the team’s operational and commercial structure, including the use of Revolut Business for financial operations and Revolut Pay within the team’s online merchandise store.

The collaboration also aims to create new fan engagement initiatives, including digital activations and app-based access for Revolut users, positioning the partnership as a functional alliance rather than a purely visual one.

Organisational Changes Ahead of 2026 Entry

As part of Audi’s transition into Formula One, Sauber Motorsport AG will be renamed Audi Motorsport AG, while the team’s UK facility in Bicester will become the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK. The company will retain the names Sauber Holding AG and Sauber Technologies AG, preserving its historical identity.

Audi’s Formula One project will operate across three key locations:

  • Neuburg an der Donau, Germany, for power unit development

  •

  • Hinwil, Switzerland, for chassis development and race operations

  •

  • Bicester, UK, providing access to Formula One’s Motorsport Valley talent pool

Looking Ahead to Audi’s Formula One Debut

Audi will enter Formula One in 2026 as a full works team, developing its own hybrid power unit in line with the FIA’s revised regulations, which place a greater emphasis on electrification and sustainable fuels.

With the official team identity now confirmed and the Berlin launch date set, Audi’s Formula One project moves closer to becoming a visible, on-track reality.
